Sorrow, Sadness, and Satellites

I wish I could say that I hadn’t experienced death of someone close to me, but it isn’t the case at all - that sort of tragic loss is far too prevalent in my past. Actually I was born into a world of strong grieving. My Greatgrandmothers has passed away - one just before my birth, and the other just after.

They were important souls in our family. There losses were felt for decades following.

Mary Butler was the first loss of this nature for me directly. I hope she knows how much she influenced me and the world through me. She was so kind to me.

I remember the light on the day she was buried…and the sorrow…how I felt out of my body…and the sound of the cars passing like a river. I can still feel the horror as they lowered her body into the ground.

Kindness resonates, ripples, and spreads. Our shortest interactions are sometime the most important.
